The Excelsior Dandy fixie is a statement in its own right – pure minimalism without compromise, nothing superfluous. Excelsior has stripped its Dandy model down to the bare essentials to get you from A to B in the city quickly and sportily. With no gears, it’s entirely up to the rider to get this classic-looking steel frame moving. Lightweight wheels with 23 mm narrow tyres, and the fact that the bike has little more than a sporty saddle, colour-matched grips on the straight handlebars and two toe brakes, all contribute to this.

Anyone wishing to convert it to a singlespeed fixie simply needs to flip the rear wheel. The flip-flop rear hub allows you to switch to a fixed gear without a freewheel. This makes the Dandy completely minimalist.
